Background

The skewed percentage of women in senior management positions in the corporate sector echo prevailing discriminatory policies, cultures and practices. There is a consequently a need to interrogate and examine these to address issues of inclusion, equity, and justice. With this background, the upcoming WISCOMP Dialogue in January provides a context to unravel the complexities of social contexts and explore the possibilities of augmenting women’s participation in senior management decision making processes in the corporate world. Are women leaders transforming workspaces? If so, how? What are some of the new initiatives and lessons learnt? This roundtable seeks to open conversations on diverse perspectives on leadership and the opportunities women have today to set new benchmarks on output, efficacy and the ethics of care in the corporate world.
